A popular Studio 58 tradition now in its 7th mounting, this mini-festival presents four one-act plays in two exciting programs. Featuring original work by Studio 58 students and recent grads, FourPlay is under the tutelage of award-winning playwright (and Studio 58 writing instructor) Aaron Bushkowsky.

PROGRAM A

HOTEL HOPE – A seedy hotel room on the outskirts of Hope, BC is the setting for six characters all trying to understand love and their place in the world outside.

OVER THE EDGE – An unusual request brings three women together to honour the loss of a loved one. History, ceremony, and a very special location set the backdrop for the coming together of this eccentric family, for better or worse, one last time.

PROGRAM B

DRAWING LINES – Robin is an amateur animator who has become bored with his life and his relationship with his wife. To spice things up Robin convinces himself he is enamoured with his wife’s best friend. When his in-laws hit town the mayhem ensues.

FIRE ALLY - How do we construct our realities to deal with the world around us? Whose perception is real? How do we behave when the world is ending? Ally, a sheltered farm girl escapes her overbearing mother to explore the possible answers to these burning questions.

WARNING: These plays may contain nudity, coarse language and adult themes.

Dates: March 12 - 30, 2008

Time: Shows are Wednesday to Saturday at 8pm, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.
